About Molly And This Site
Molly is a 14 year old spot-nosed monkey who has had insulin-dependent diabetes for six years. She is given a careful diet, is given insulin injections and has her blood and urine tested regularly. All of these things were hard adjustments for her, just as they are for children with diabetes. Molly is also insulin resistant. Her gentleness and spirit of cooperation are priceless.
One purpose of this site is to let people with diabetes know that they are not alone. Another is to help give them inspiration for the simple things that can be done for their own care, including a proper diet that helps keep blood sugar levels even.
