Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia: A Recap

The HM Gals Strut Their Stuff at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week!

A once in a life-time opportunity! With superb weather and good company, the HQ girls at HELLO MOLLY flocked to Carriageworks for Mercedes Benz-Fashion Week Australia. Their mission: To capture and record this season and 2020's top runway and curbside trends!

Since it was such a special occasion, the gals just had to get their #streetstyle on and rep their favourite HM pieces for Fashion Week. Here's a guide of our top faves!

Aleks (left) dons THE CUTAWAY DRESS in red from Mossman. She pairs it with some mega chic sunnies and additional sparkling hardware on her handbag. Tina (right) blooms in our off-the-shoulder PREM THE LABEL LADYLIKE DRESS NUDE and jazzes it up with some black patent booties and our adorable Jaxton Pearl Hair Clip.

Jas (left) stays feminine in on-trend darkened floral prints but modernises the look in the FOREVER HOLD YOUR PEACE KNIT CROP BLACK. Bella ticks all the fashion favourites - 'floral, funky, formal!' She wears our HARD TO SAY MIDI DRESS KHAKI layered underneath a superbly tailored blazer!

HONOURABLE MENTIONS: Trend Snaps From Catwalk to Curb

Power Dressing

Boss Lady alert! We are living for the melton felts, utilitarian cuts and fitted ankle booties!

Checks and Shearling

We weren't disappointed. Fashionable gals of all ages threw on oversized faux shearling fits and paired old-fashioned checks over pristinely tailored suit fittings. Meanwhile, the men flashed their colourful tweeds with polychromatic prints and pops of red!

No Such Thing As Too Many Trimmings

Monochromatic palettes combined with futuristic embellishments, exaggerated sleeves, glamorous trimmings or sparkling hardware seemed to be everyone's favourite style choice for this year's Fashion Week.

Trends spotted on the catwalk! KARLA ŠPETIĆ's latest collection features loose tailoring, a strong emphasis on organza and sheer fabrications, adjustable lace-up detailing, cut-outs and the popular cold-shoulder top.
