8 Emotional Stages Of Being Single On Valentines Day

Whether you're newly single or have been single pringle for a little while - V Day can usually be a mixed bag of emotions. From confessions of love all over the internet, to (over priced) flowers on every corner and then the lack of dinner for one reservations available - it's a rollercoaster of emotions for any gal (or guy).

1. YOU'RE FEELING IT

You knew this day would come and here it is. It's hard to not think back to past Valentine's Days, but you brace yourself for what's to come.

2. YOU'RE IN DENIAL

You soon realise that it's a normal day - just like any other day and there's absolutely no reason to freak out. Because at the end of the day, you don't have to share your pizza with anyone.

3. YOU DOWNLOAD IT

You feel slightly empowered and decide, if not now - when? You've gotta be in it to win it right?!

As the app(s) start to download and you re-load your account, you feel a mixture of emotions. But hey, it's better to be swiping left or right than not swiping at all.

4. THEN DELETE IT...

You then remember why you deleted the app or apps to start with.

5. YOU FEEL FLAT

Even though you knew this moment would come, it still hurts. One by one the flowers start to roll into the office, the Instagram posts start to flood and all you want to do is sit on the couch and watch Bridesmaids.

6. YOU'RE ALL ABOUT THE GALS

You look around a feel #blessed to be surrounded by gal pals who constantly make you feel a million dollars everyday. Because seriously, fries before guys and ovaries before brovaries...ammiright?!

7. YOU FEEL INCREDIBLE

The moment you hoped would come all day - the moment when you really couldn't give a *bleep* about Valentine's Day or being single for that matter.

8. YOU'RE (INTERNALLY) EMBARRASSED

The day is almost over, the PDA slows down and you don't know why you were so bothered anyway.
